After receiving a degree in English Education from the University of Washington, I began a career as an advertising copywriter where I worked closely with the graphic arts department. This experience ignited my interest in color and composition, and as they say, the rest is history.   



In addition to painting both digitally and in the studio, I find my recent return to the sewing machine has added an unexpected new dimension to my day.  Many of the creative elements are the same, but there's something special about working with textiles.  I love all natural fabrics and my shelves are stacked primarily with silks, wools, and linens. Even within these categories, there is no end to the tactile and visual varieties and possibilities. 



Currently living in Pebble Beach, Californis i find that the expansiveness of the Pacific Ocean out my window offers the perfect backdrop for continued creative exploration with all of its challenges and ultimately, its gratifications.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    holds-
